The AS Communication Gateway™, with its integrated options for managing any number of e-mail domains and mail servers and the implemented SMTP auth function, is an underground_8 product that enables Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to offer services such as remote spam and anti-virus cleaning to their customers.

It enables MSSPs who host existing domains to route the MX record of a mail domain to a central AS Communication Gateway™. Within the appliance the SMTP traffic is cleaned of viruses and spam and the clean e-mail traffic finally forwarded to the customer’s mail server.
