• Within our company we take care to ensure the maximum possible resource efficiency and lowest possible emissions

We therefore operate a systematic environmental management system.

Product-related environmental protection

underground_8 management is aware of product responsibility and attaches a high value to product-related environmental protection. We set high standards for the environmentally-friendly design of our products and services.

Product-related environmental protection means that we optimise our products throughout the whole of their life cycle. This is especially important, as with many electrical products the manufacturing process only represents a comparatively small part of the environmental impact over the life of the product. The majority of the environmental impact of the product is caused during its use phase, which should be taken into account during product planning and development.

Energy efficiency in production

Improving the efficiency of energy usage is of great importance to us because of the associated consumption of resources and the resultant emissions – above all, of CO2. underground_8 may not belong to one of the most energy-intensive branches of industry, but as climate protection is a very important issue, we want to improve our energy efficiency and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
